Benefits of AISLE Chapters

Collaboration:
Connect with fellow librarians to share ideas and learn from one another.
Local Networking:
Local connections provide opportunities for discussions of best practices in school libraries and for action on local issues.
Professional Learning Opportunities:
AISLE Chapters host at least 2 Professional Development and 2 Social Events annually.
Advocacy & Support:
Join together with fellow librarians to strengthen advocacy efforts for certified school librarians and school libraries in your building, district, and state-wide.

If you work or live in a county not listed above and are interested in forming a new AISLE Chapter, please contact the Chapter Function Representative at chapters@aisled.org or click HERE.

Chapter Requirements

Fill out the Chapter Application Form (contact chapters@aisled.org)
Minimum of 10 members and represent more than one school district
At least 50% of the members must be AISLE members or, in the case of a neighboring state, member of their home state school library association
Chapter leadership positions: Director, Secretary/Treasurer, PD Coordinator, and AISLE Board Representative
Submit a brief annual report in May to the Chapter Function Representative
Follow financial guidelines and social media best practices as outlined by AISLE
