Disaster Relief Fund
This fund is designed to provide financial assistance to those school library media centers which have experienced a disaster or catastrophe (whether natural or man-made) within the area specifically designated as the school library media center.

- Complete the “Disaster Relief Fund Application Form.”
- Attach a letter from the districts’ administrator, whose responsibility it is to oversee the district’s funds, indicating the district’s commitment to the rebuilding and continued staffing of said school library media center.
Criteria for selection shall be based on items 1 and 2 listed under “APPLICATION PROCEDURE” as well as demonstrated need.
Monetary assistance will be awarded from this fund based upon monies in the fund at the time of application and upon the number of applicants applying for this grant. It is intended that monies received from this grant will be used solely for restoring, replacing, or repairing school library media center materials or equipment which were damaged or lost during the catastrophe.
Application must be received within one year following the date of the disaster.
